An innovative solution from Stimdia

The SPAIRO system* is designed to ease patient transition from ventilation to breathing on their own by modulating phrenic neural activity. Unlike ventilators or direct muscle stimulators, electrical stimulation with the SPAIRO system aims to restore neural pathways involved in independent breathing. Leveraging the body s natural respiratory signaling and diaphragm activation, the SPAIRO system has the potential to shorten time on ventilation and improve patient outcomes.

Innovative neuromodulation solutions are a well-established and growing market.

Designed to deliver value for

Patients

Supports respiratory function to enable a faster return to independent breathing

Hospitals

Reduces time spent on mechanical ventilation and in critical care

Healthcare System

Lowers the overall economic burden due to extended hospital stays

Investors

Represents a $1+ billion market opportunity in the U.S.

The SPAIRO system is an innovative phrenic nerve neuromodulation system designed to support respiratory drive and neuromuscular activity in mechanically ventilated adult patients. The system uses proprietary sensing and neuromodulation technology to deliver electrical stimulation to the phrenic nerves in concert with mechanical ventilation, intended to get patients back to independent breathing.

*CAUTION: Currently, the SPAIRO System is limited by federal (United States) law to investigational use only and is authorized for use exclusively in clinical investigations.
